why is my fancy goldfish staying at the bottom of the tank, usually on his back
His appetite is good, loves peas. He has been down there for a month or so.
Answers:He may have swim bladder disorder.

You may want to treat the water with some sort of antibiotic so that he doesn't get tail/fin/body rot or other infections from sitting on the bottom of the tank.

he mabye likes it down there i got to fish that hang around togethe at the bottom if he would be dead he wouldn't be eating and would float to the top
you don't feed peas to a goldfish, what are you nuts or what you feed it goldfish food. sounds like you killed the poor thing!

I was about to say bloat but if he is at the bottom I don't know. what breed of fancy goldfish is it? depending on the fish they might do that natually (upside-down catfish). is the water quality off or is there too much light in the tank?.

He propablay has swim bladder a good way to get rid of it is giving him a pea that is boiled and skinned.
