Slime Disease : excess mucus covering any part of the body. the mucus results in the skin appearing a light grey colour. if mucus is covereing the gills the fish will exhibit rapid breathing. you can get a Slime Control treatment from reputable pet stores or specilist fish places.

I have goldfish too n got some info from my pet store - of course i dont know if this is what it is for sure u shud probably double check before you buy any treatment but i hope this is helpful!

i bought four gold,,,goldfish..tow are now silver.one is silver /gold.the last one is gold.and they are 4 years old and huge.( i didn't know they get that big.)

you have to give more details, it's probably not bad. Goldfish can be gold, ornge, silver, black, grey, calico.a lot of colors. Make shure you know what your doing.to many goldfish die within a year. They live well past 10 years too! Never buy goldfish bowls. Each goldfish needs 20 gallons of water believe it or not. They like live plants, and cool water. So, you dont need a heater, but a 20gallon tank and a 30-40 gallon filter with a bubbler. (goldfish are dirty and need oversized filters). They produce lots of ammonia too! So do weekly water changes. Feed it freeze dried shrimp, bloodworms, flake/pellet goldfish food, etc. Please take good care of your goldfish, so it can live a healthy happy life!
