i have two red bellied piranhas because i had three but i just lost one due to a disease..i am putting the two i have into a bigger tank and i was wondering if i added another one (about the same size as the others) to the tank at the same time as the other two will the two i already had attack it??

In addition to making sure the new one isn't smaller, I would specifically place the new one into the bigger tank first. That way, when your original two are added, they see him as the territorial 'guy in charge' and don't mess with him. If they are placed in first, they might see him as a threat, or even as a treat. I've done that several times and always placed the newer one in solo, then added my original guys after, and they were all fine. Note: in the future, if you do it with other fish (not the pirahnas) . take care to place the LESS aggressive fish in their new tank first, and the MORE aggressive in LAST. Same theory applies: The fish who is there first won't be messed with, or in other words, won't be attacked by the 'bullies.'

Don't worry about it. If this new fish is alot like the one that died, they should get along just fine.

Be careful right now because 2 piranhas is the most dangerous number to have. They are more likely to kill each other. Get a new similar sized one and they should be fine.

It might because fish like there own place so they might because the other is new to them but try to get them used to the other fish maybe by putting the otheer one in it's own little tank beside the big one. I'm not that sure but try.

need to have at least 3 topgether as 2 will fight for sure, thats over territory.
