would I go through nitrogen cycle if adding bio bacteria, established spong filter to my new fresh w
how long would it take to finish the nitrogine cycle,its been 4 days and no sign of amonia ,remember I aded 2 gold fish 3 days ago.
nitrate = 0 amonia =0 nitrite=0
Answers:No nitrate is not a good sign, there should have been spikes in the ammonia and nitrite, if they weren't then you haven't gone through the cycle. adding an old filter would help establish the beneficial bacteria, and you'd be going through the nitro. cycle, but you have to do 10% water changes everyday since you aren't doing a fishless cycle. but it will still take about a week or two
you should not add gold fish in the beginning because they grow preety fast. the better way is to lett the nature it self do the job it always works out. if you put boi bacteria in the tank it might not work as the nature bacteria
