i just bought two very young oscars and every time i go to look at them they lay at the bottom of the tank like they are dead. is this normal or are they sick?
Answers:Oscars are known to be sulkers when anything changes, but I've never had ones like that. Are they on their sides? Ditto the question about the water dechlorinator, hopefully you used that. Also, did you float the bag and let them adjust to the new tank temperature and ph?
don't worry this is just how OSCARS act they sulk @ the bottom when they r in a new place.they r not sick!you also may notice when u turn the light on they do the same thing.it just takes a little time and they will b ur bestest friend! good luck hope this helps!
they just don't like you ,you shouldve bought a dog you can bribe them with beef jerky,i do!
young oscars would those be real small hot dogs
Are your water parameters all in check? Ammonia and Nitrites all at Zero?
You have a freshwater system so I assume you also used a water conditioner when you cycled your tank to remove any Chlorine or Chloramine elements yes?
