Answers:

The last Census taken in 2003 with reporting done by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) on March 2, 2003, reported that there were a total of 375.2 Thousand horse farms operating in the United States.

These are probably only the farms that claimed tax exemptions. Since there are small scale breeders scattered everywhere and in every region accross the country and those who do not claim tax exemptions on thier farms, it would be hard to determine a hard cut estimate.

There were also 5,250,000.4 Million horses reported.

well i could'nt tell you exactly how many horse breeders there are in the U.S.A but icould tell you that there are alot of them maybe 1,000 or more! so hope i could help
