Answers:Put a ruler under your foot when you are wearing your boots, it should be 3/4 to an inch on either side. You don't want it tighter lest your foot get stuck in an accident but you also don't want it to be too wide lest your feet fall out at a bad time if you start to lose balance.
they should be an inch wider than your feet in your riding boots
whatever size fits the width of your feet
measure your feet in the boots you ride in where they rest on the stirrup(at the widest part, or just below where your toes start). you want about 3/4 of an inch space on either side of your feet, so add 1.5 inches.
