How do you persuade your parents 2 let u jump I know-Ive been taught, but they wont let me do it reg2007-11-24 21:16:01

They really r hard 2 persuade!! Ther'e not strict about horse back riding, but I want to jump! It's soooo much fun!

Answers:

Do you own a horse or pony?

If you do, did you get a trustable, calm horse, or a wild, nutso one? Maybe your parents don't want you to jump because your horse isn't trained to jump, rough jumping, hyper, or bucking & rearing horse? Ask them say "Hey, why dont you want me to jump, is it because you dont think (your horses name) can jump or do you think i cant jump??" what do they say if its you horse maybe pay for a trainer to train him/her to jump, or if its you take lessons on a sensible horse or even a pony. Improve your jumping skills and the skills of your horse!

If your leasing the horse, lease a better jumping horse, and jump low jumps or cross rails untill your parents say your aloud to lease your other horse that you wanted to lease before you leased a diff. horse, or stay with that same horse and work on higher jumps and maybe enter a competition on two! Show your parents that you can jump!

If your just taking lessons on a horse, move to a horse with a little more jumping experience and have your teacher show you want to do how to do it ect. when your parents are watching you and show them your willing to learn everything you need to know before you jump!

Do you have a horse? And are your parents confident about how you and your horse work as a team? If they aren't then you have to make them realize that you are a good team and can handle it. Proving that could mean going back to simple basic stuff. Good luck!

Explain to them that jumping has all to do with trust in the horse and learning . now if you have already learned then just tell them its about having trust in your horse so they need trust in you.
