My friend's saddle needs restuffing and she's worried it's gonna cost too much. It's an all purpose English saddle.
Answers:The other two are spot on, it depends what kind of flocking goes in, synthetics vs wool etc. I have had wool put in and it cost me around $150 or thereabouts. It wasn't too bad considering its a lot less than buying a new saddle.
Some companies will take a saddle back and send it to their headquarters for work. You ought to check with the manufacturer of the saddle, they may be able to do it for you at some special rate or the like.
Depends, in England I've paid about $100 or 50 quid to have one stuffed.
I'm having my saddle refitted in a few weeks and it's going to cost $160 but this is with a different guy. I have mine refitted every few months and its usually somewhere in between $75 and $200 depending on what needs to be done. When I had a new tree put in and it was sent to Italy it cost me almost $500 and took almost 6 months. It really depends on what you're having done and the person doing it.
