How much shall i sell my pony for2007-11-24 21:16:03

he is 14.2 and has done 2ft 9 crosscuntry he has done it 2 times in his life and won both!! he also won the skl team show jumping and that was 3ft to 3ft 3. he can jump 4ft 6 but not a course! he is black brown and white . he will shoe box and clip fine . can some 1 help me!!!!!

the price for your pony all depends on what breed it is. most horses will go for anywhere from $1500 to $15000

Well, does he have good bloodlines, what is his breeding? The market is down now, I would advertise on dreamhorse.com and see what you can get. He sounds pretty good, how is his disposition?

That would be hard to say, even seeing him. I would ask someone who is knowledgable in the events where your pony excells. They should be able to give you a good idea what he should bring on the market and they may even have someone looking for one like him. Good Luck!

You forgot to mention how old he is. That can be a BIG factor. Pony Jumper can go up to 4' though. If he is a resonable age (4-7 lets say) and is performing as well as you say (quietly and in control), he could be worth anywhere from $5,000 to $25,000 depending on his experiece and consistancy. No matter what "breed" he is!

He sounds like a nice horse. If you posted conformation pictures up here it would help me some more. Assuming he has correct conformation, and is sound, you could probably get a good $13k for him now. Also, he is young and that is a good thing...

This is a very common question (not always on here though). A horse isnt just judged on their skills. You have to base the price on what you think. Emotions go into the price of the horse like because of maybe how much you bought it for, or how much time you put in to showing and training it. I honestly think that cob is worth between $7000 and $10000
