if they call no jackets at the show can i show wit a white slelveless shirt?? my friend says no but she just always trys to ruin everything. plz i need help i have shown b4 but they have never called no jackets but this time its goin to be HOTTT! PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP!!!!

Answers:

No, make sure you have a shirt with sleeves and a collar(can be short sleeves). I think white polo shirts look nice and they are comfortable. Sleeveless shirts without a jacket is a big no-no in every venue I know of.

ETA: No jacket also means no stock tie, hence why polos are nice. They are ok if jackets are waived even at recognized shows.

your friend is right. when you're showing, your supposed to wear a long sleeved shirt. It doesn't make a huge difference if you're wearing a jacket, but without a jacket, you need to wear a long sleeved shirt.

BTW they make jackets optional and the people that choose to wear them tend to get a higher score. Your form tends to look better when you wear a jacket. Just something to cosider...

I'd say it depends on what level you are showing. I tried to keep a long sleeve shirt in the trailer, in case this happened, but it will usually depend on what everyone else is doing. In the Midwest it can get really hot and sticky, so most people have sleeveless shirts on under the jacket. If most of the people in the class can agree to go sleeveless, then you are okay. Horse help is right in that people that keep the jacket on tend to look more professional. I say follow the judge - if she removes her jacket, then it is probably okay for you to. I'd keep a long sleeved shirt with me just in case.

In Florida it gets quite hot and they often do this. I have seen people wear short-sleeved shirts but never without sleeves. When I say shirts they are proper button-down shirts with either a stock tie or choker collar.
