In what ways can you feed corn to a non-working, non-dieting horse2007-11-24 21:17:46
She is not on a special diet or anything, and this should just be an occasional treat... would boiled corn kernels be alright for her?
Answers:Corn gives horses a ton of energy. Since she isn't in work, it wouldn't be a good idea since she doesn't really need all of that energy. Too much corn could lead to founder too. There are lots of things that you could feed your horse as treats instead of corn. You can make her a bran mash. Peppermints, carrots and apples are usually big hits too.
no I don't think that is a good idea corn gives horse way to much energy
NOOOO CORN for a non working horse.
it heats their blood up and gives them too much energy & even sends them nasty.
u should only ever feed a horse corn in small portions with other food and only under the right circumstances.
