Is a horse that is a mix of many breeds called a grade horse? It's sort of like when a mix of many dog breeds is called a mutt. Is it called a grade or something else?

the term grade is more for people than the horses themselves,people like to label everything to keep it in perspective.Ordinairy cattle are known as grade as well.
