Is my drawing close and how is my horse2007-11-24 21:18:06

I just got a horse last night and I made a sketch of him. I know it's not the best. Rate the sketch and the horse, please!

The drawing... I'd give it a 6. It's not bad (looks a lot like what my drawings did when I was fairly new to drawing) but it needs some work to be a masterpiece. :)

The legs are far too straight, especially around the fetlock/pastern area. The hooves are too square, they should be rounded toward the back of the hoof and a narrower angle at the front. The front legs are too far forward. The ears are close to the correct shape but maybe just a little too wide at the base. The nostril shouldn't be so far forward on the nose, it should be more toward the side of the muzzle.
