Is my horse getting too fat
Do you think my horse is getting a little on the big side? He is a 3 year old gelding, half quarter horse half tenessee walker. He is not yet broke so he doesn't get ridden, however, we do work him in the round pen. Here are the most recent pictures of him.

^Excuse the muddyness. That was before I brushed him down.
I wasn't sure if he was getting too fat or if he was the right size or what. Just though I'd ask.
Answers:He looks fine to me. He has very thick bone and substance to him, so he's gonna be a little on the stocky side. He's by no means overweight.after all he is still growing and as long as you are providing lots of turn out time and a little exercise, he will be fine.
he should be about 30pounds skinnier, but it doesnt make much of a difference he looks well
I know nothing about horses, but he looks good to me, very pretty
your horse is not fat, he's in perfect shape! keep up the good work.
Your horse is fine. He looks in good condition. If he has room to move around on his own in a pasture, he will exercise himself. The round pen is good exercise for him. I don't know if you started any ground training yet, but that would also be good exercise too. He does not need to lose 30 pounds. The more you work him out, the more his muscles will be defined. He seems to be nicely proportioned for his body.
i know a bit on horses -i say he needs to run a smidge more-
