Is she right for me
The barn down the street from me has a horse for sale, and her name is Lily. She is a thouroughbred and is 4 and is still working under saddle and is lazy, today I am going to go see her! I am an advanced rider! And I have always wanted to finish out a horse! The owner has 2 other horses and just doesn't have enough time for her, and she just wants lots of love! and the owner wants someone who can push her, and I like to run and stuff but I also just love to trot and walk also! Is she right for me???
Answers:Probably not, TB's alone from their size need a lot of work and schooling and if she even gets a whiff that you are not fully in control, you'll be setting yourself up for problems along with the fact that it could be dangerous. Being an advanced rider is more than "running and stuff" and schooling involves a lot more than just walking and trotting around. Schooling is just that and if you are not aware of the finer points or unable to put the finish on a horse without the aid of a trainer, I'd forget it and look for something that is more suitable - sorry to burst your bubble! Lots of love is not going to solve issues such as lead changes, collection, bend, top line, forward impulsion etc.
well
thats for you to decide.
if you go today to see her & you feel that shes right for you get her
if you dont feel the vibe from her than maybe shes not the right one. (:
