Is the International ATH "Switch" helmet suitable for hunter/jumper shows2007-11-24 21:18:09

I am thinking of getting this helmet for shows but I don't know if it would look as proper as the velvet helmets or regular International A.T.H.'s. There is a picture at http://www.sandridge.ca/helmets.asp...

Answers:

Yes, those are popular helmets on the show circut right now. Be careful what color the stripe is when you are showing though, because they are starting to crack down on the bling or rhinestones now. If you are doing jumpers then you can hae any color stripe, but if you do hunters you should only have silver or a natural color.

Hope I Helped!

yes it is ok. my sister usues it in her college horse shows. i think you can use it in any show you want to. it is approprite. if your still not sure, just dont buy it until you go to a show and ask some of the judges or people that are running the show.
Depends on what type of shows you are doing. If you are doing rated shows, I would go with the black ATH. USEF passed a rule "Conservative colored protective headgear with no additional adornments in accordance

with GR318.3" for the Equitation divisions. Helmet "bling" isn't really popular in the rings anymore.
