Do you think the name "Nike, Just do It" would be a nice show name for a gelding? (Nike for barn name)

I dont personally like the use of logos in horses names, unless they are a pun and have something to do with the horse itself. Plus you have to be careful when using copyrighted names, especially at the bigger shows. But if you like it, go for it.

Personally, it does not sound like a horse's name. Look at show horses and their names...look at your horse's lineage and other names included there if you know it. Something more innovative would be good...I had a purebred Arabian and his show name was Carysbend Czester (Carsybend was the name of the stables he was bred at and Czester is from his lineage...). Another warmblood we have has a show name of "Hotter Than Hades" and his barn name is Flash...Just try to be a little more creative with it...you may get some weird looks from people if you go into a serious show environment.

Wether it is a good name or not, I think you would be best with something else. Nike has that whole "Just do it" thing trademarked, and no telling what kind of legalities you could be looking at. You never know, considering how sue-happy people are these days, better to be safe than sorry.

Personally I think the name Nike is cute for a barn name.
