Mane Pullling, and another question
How do you pull a horses mane? Also, my horse has a scar after she got a cut on her front leg, now she has no hair there and i really want it to grow back, she also has halter rubs on her nose and around her ears. How can I get the hair to grow back?
Answers:For mane pulling- I'd suggest you find an experinced horse person to take care of that. Ask them to teach you because if you don't really know how to do it and try it, chances are it will come out..badly [haha trust me!].
Here are a few mane pulling sites:

REMINDER:
never take siscors to your horses mane. It makes it looks awful! The only time I think one should raise scissors to a mane is when the mane is very long and your cutting off just enough so that you can go in after and properly pull it.
As for the scar, I'm not 100% sure if that hair will come back. I've heard of a few techniques to return the hair. Its worth a try. I've heard of rubbing bacon grease on the hairless areas. Also, Vitam E oil, MTG, Hand cream, corona wound ointment, Eqyss MegaTek spray, and Preperation H cream.
Make sure you test a small patch of skin atleast one day before applying whichever remedy you choose. Horses may have an allergic reaction or it might not work. These are just suggestions I found.
Good luck!
Get a mane puller first of all(they look like combs) get a small lock of mane. Put the comb on the mane.push the comb up constantly until theres a bit of hair left. Then grab the tiny piece and yank it off REALLY hard. Dont worry, horses have no nerves in their neck so it wont hurt. I dont really think her hair will grow. Call your equine vet to ask.
