I'm looking forward to your replies, because I recently saw an ad for the contraption and was amazed! My gut reaction was - WOW - it can't possibly work. I mean, yes, it could vacuum up things including manure. But we all know that horse manure's consistency is always different from day to do. I imagine nice firm, round balls of manure would vacuum somewhat, but what about the soft loose stuff? Not only would it be tough to suck up - but think how much would stick in the tubing/hose! I absolutely cannot think it would work, unless you used it under perfect situations which would be for a horse on a dryish diet and therefore well formed and dry manure.
My opinion is based on a friend's husband who's child puked in the house. The husband got the brilliant idea to vacuum up the vomit. He plugged in the vacuum cleaner, sucked it up, and the vacuum cleaner was NEVER the same! I mean, really, think of all the puke stuck to the inside of the vacuum! How would manure be any different?!
