Moving horses to spain from scotland
Moving horses to spain from scotland2007-11-24 21:18:29
Im thinking of moving to mainland spain and want to take my horses with me.
Does anyone know what documentation i need and what are the rules to moving them abroad.
Answers:We used to move show horses from England to Germany and Belgium and they have to be quarantined, vetted and health certificates issued along with passports before they can be transported. Ask your vet because they should be fully aware of what papers you need and in what order they have to be processed.
believe it or not u will need a passport 4 the horse
Your best bet is to contact an international horse transporter which is properly regsited and insured and ask them on the regulations. As far as i knwo the only dicumentation you needs (providing they are not going for slaughter!) is their passports for identity. I am sure if there are any other requirements the transporter would be able to advise.
