Moving i have a lot of horses, and im moving for a year2007-11-24 21:18:29

is it too much trouble to take them all with me, or just let the rest of my family care for them for a year. i will take 16, but should i leave the others behind? they all know how too handle the horses and will also hire a couple more peeps to help, but i'll miss them. im just moving for a year and a couple months, then i'll come back, but where im staying i can only take 16 horses. my freind im staying with has a TON of land, and if i buy it, then i can keep them all with me, but then i'll have to move them ALL back again in one year. thats A LOT of horses. what should i do?

wow, i like soo tottaly had the same problem!! i just bought all the land and moved all my horses and other animals to the same place!!! But i only stayed for about two months. o well i had fun!! i also hired somebody to ride them all. thats too much work for me!! lol

Hey if you can afford that many horses, and to buy a TON of land, you don't need us mere mortals to help you out.

Okay, I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but in my opinion, if you have more than 16 horses that you are THAT close with then I either want to know your secret or you are lying. Most people have at most 3-4 horses that are special to them, and beyond that the others aren't as close. Unless you have a trainer or stablehand to work the horses you are taking, I would not take that many. If you do nothing but work with your horses, 16 horses should take at least 4 days to get in a good riding session with each one (4 horses a day at 3 hours for grooming, riding and cooling off...that's 12 hours) , and to me that's crazy if you are trying to juggle another job.
