My horse will not behave when I take her to shows, please help

I have a 4 year old arabian mare who I have been showing in lead classes since she was 1 year old. I have been riding her for the last year and she has been excellent at home and her lessons (dressage). Every time I take her to show she is nervous and comes on season. At home she is quiet and does a beautiful workout. I pasted her with tranquil on the last two times I have taken her to the show and she does not sweat now but still will not stand still and is ferral. I am not sure what the problems is.

Getting your horse ready for a show or competition is a tough job. When you take time to get the horse ready he will be a sparkling gem among the other dull horses. Baths, clip, braiding, and so much more contribute to a pristine well groomed horse.

Steps

1. Start out with a bath about two days before the show so the coat oils are kept under control.

2. Once the horse is dry gently brush with a currycomb and soft brush. Then you must decide what type of clip you will give your horse. Types of clips are used for the different types and heaviness or lightness of the work you do. Here are some examples the belly and neck, chaser, hunter, trace, blanket, and full body clip. The belly and neck and full body clip are self explanatory. The others are mostly used for hard working horses.

3. Then call your farrier to clip your horse鈥檚 feet to the appropriate length then ask s/he where you can buy hoof polish. If your horse has blck hooves get black polish any other color buy clear.
