has she cut her self there before, or is this the first time you have seen any thing there at all? does it get bigger after exercise or does it seem to bother her when she is jogging. it is possible that it is simply scar tissue from a old cut that has now been pulled up again or it could be swelling from old cuts that have come back to bother her. if she is not showing any sings of pain when you touch it or when she moves it is probably not going to cause a problem but if it does then you should have her looked at by a vet to make sure it is not a problem.

I'm not sure what the question is, but does it feel warm to you? If you push on it, does she lay her ears back or seem uncomfortable? Is it crusty? What size is it? Does it have a "head", puncture sight, or open wound (if so, DO NOT apply linament, but apply a disinfecting antibiotic cream)?

If it is less than nickel sized, and it doesn't hurt her and it isn't warm, it is probably just a bugbite.

If it is bigger than a quarter and it does hurt her, or it is warm, it could just be a sore she got while in the pasture or stall, or she could have even kicked herself when you were riding. I would hose it with cold water for five minutes and apply linament and wrap it. If it doesn't get better, see the vet.

have a vet out. my horse had that on her knee and it went away in amonth. If it is warm to the touch call a vet right away if you have the money have it x rayed in case she hit it and chipped a bone!
