thank you
Answers:Beading is beading... if you mean patterns, it would be most meaningful to come up with your own design. However, this site has some designs already that might give you some ideas http://jumperjewels.com/
How close are you to an Indian reservation? No one will teach you better.Have you seen applause breed?
Go to craft places . They use to carry the a frame that they use and then the beads I did it for yearsTandy Leather Comp. use to carry it but I don't know if they are in business Good craft store
hhhmmm I live in Oklahoma where beading can be found everywhere it seems. I would first look up sites for the making of Pow Wow and Indian dance competition clothing for a starting point. Also look into traditional clothing and horse gear for the Plains Indians.
what we do is actually RUSSIAN. It's imported and adopted from them. They have HUGE pieces like tapestry that are beaded. As for learning it, it's more of a hands on then just reading from a book or online. It might be worth it just to have it made. Not everyone is a beader.
Okay, first, beading a browband for your horses bridle - if you make it of seed beads (the tiniest ones?) will be time consuming and the resulting browband will be fragile because of the need to put the tiny beads on thin threads. If you choose the seed beads, I'd back it with a stiffer leather to keep them from breaking and destroy your hard work? Now you can use a type of thin wire but it will still be kind of fragile. If you use crow or pony beads, the design will not be as delicate but you can use a very strong cord to weave it on or even leather and it will be strong. Beads inbetween those sizes will result in lesser strength according to the size. it's easily do-able tho and there are many places on the web that will give you instructions, patterns, etc. Even groups on yahoo that trade patterns and instruction! So don't be afraid to try it - it's not that hard, just requires a steady hand and patience and a good eye for the patterns.
