so i love horses

and i want to do like endurance and competative trail riding

i know arabians are great for that type of thing but i want a horse with more heitght and i want to be able to maybe even do dressage or something..

what about an akhal teke?

or a trakhaner?

i've read up on those two breeds and i think i'm in love ha

do any of you own an akhal teke or trakhaner??

any info/pics would be much appreciated! thanks!!

I really have no answer for you as you have to choose but Yes Trakhaners are good for that discipline as are Arabians and some OT TBs.

I am assuming that you will be willing to LEARN from those with experience, all you can about riding and the care and expense it will take to own such a horse.

I love that you said you wanted a horse with some height as I have always told people "If I am going to fall off, it has to be from a tall horse, as I want time to think before I hit the ground". After all falling is fun...it's landing that hurts!

Warmbloods are a great horse for endurance and they definalty come taller. But they also have thier own personalaties. (as does every horse) Do you own horses now? There is more to a horse than the novelty of riding! You will need to look at what care a horse truly takes...vet bills, ferrier bills, equipment, feed, a place to keep them, etc. And the list continues.
