What Is Pony Club Like2007-11-24 21:21:37

I am thinking of joining Pony club with my horse. All my freinds are in it, but when i ask them about it they just say its really fun and i should do it too. I know about rallys, mounted meetings, and clinics, having gone to them before as an observer. I am pretty serious about joining so serious answers only please!

Its really fun. they teach you to be a well rounded rider and teach you how to properly take care of your horse. the rating system gives you motive to study and improve your knowledge and riding skills. also the different disciplines are great. They have Mounted Games, Eventing, Show jumping, Dressage, Tetrathalon, Quiz, Polocrosse, vaulting and some fox hunting. yes some of the rules are a little extreme, but you get used to them and they teach you safety and discipline. You get to meet tons of people. and you get to meet even more people if you make it to championships held in either Lexington KY or Lexington VA. this year there was over 1200 compeditors. they also offer international tours in most of the disciplines. Pony Club is great for geting a solid foundation in horses. There are many graduate pony clubers that have gone on to be hugely successful in the horse industry.

Its so fun. Im in 4-h actually and there pretty much the same. I used to be in a pony club but they got mad when i rode western at my first mounted meeting. I love 4h which is the same. You meet so many new people, get to run around on your horse and just have fun. Though with 4h you get to go to the fair

You seem to know all about the Pony Club and your friends all say it is fun, so what are you worried about. Join make new friends and have fun. Or is it because you are shy, I would still join the only way to get over shyness to get out there and meet people, and if there is any other reason I would still say, what have you got to lose. You will lose out more if you don't join than if you do join.

Pony Club is really great! You get to ride all the time, and you get to try new styles of riding like games or eventing. And you get to test your horse knowledge by going to Quiz Rally. And summer camp is awesome! Pony Club is a great way to meet new people and have fun with your horse.
