other than carrots apples grass or dandelines

Answers:

Carrots, apples, graham crackers, sugar cubes (in great moderation), Shortbread cookies (also in moderation).

Also, you can get cheap horse treats at your local Tractor Supply Store, they are about $7 for a gallon-milk-carton sized jug of treats.

Just make sure treats with sugar in them are given in moderation :)

my friend has horses and she gives them simple treats like tootsie rolls, they love it. she might give them mints too. Marshmallows are favs for horses too, that's what my uncle treats them too.

Oranges! I knew a part-arab gelding who would race across a paddock when he saw me tossing an orange in the air. I had another gelding who would come for red or green Braches Starlite mints.

Horses loooove mints and sugar cubes. You can also make a little concoction with molasses, oats and carrots all mixed together. My horse really enjoyed it! I've also seen horses that like cheerios and strangely.. bananas. You can also get bags of horse cookies at the tack shop.

don't know if this is really a treat, but my horses LOVE the husks off of sweet corn...so in the summer, after husking the corn for dinner, we will walk out to the pasture, and they come running when they see the husks.weird...doesn't seem very appetizing...but I wouldn't give them a ton.just a few...
