I love to play with my horses mind i have watched pat pereley and it has tough me a lot. I have made my horse lay down and he will stay right with me with no halter. If you have a round pen then get your horse to lung with nothing on it. That takes a lot of work. Make it come to you with nothing on it i love doing this with my horses now my horses loves me and runs to the gate. They all want to come and play. trick horse books have tons of fun games in them. i have taught one of my horses to bow/ bow and let me mount/ roll over/ and rear on command. also if you buy a ball about 2- 3 feet in diameter and throw that out with your horse you can play soccer with them.
I am not a huge endorser of Pat Parelli for various reasons, but his system has 7 games that you "play" with your horse on the ground that are supposed to better the relationship between the two of you. If that is the sort of thing you are looking for, I would google him (the website is probably www.parelli.com or something like that, I'm not sure), and I'm sure you can find information on those games and how to play them.
Go to Sylvia Scott Natural Horsemanship. She is excellent, she has great training tips, teaching them all kinds of things that are fun. You'll learn alot with her site, go to questions and answers.
