What color should I choose
I am going to pick out my new horse and I need a back up in chase there's two I like the same. The back up plan is the horses color.I don't want another palomino because I'm afraid I will think of my old horse to much and I won't bond with the new one and I my mom says I can't get a white (gray) quarter horse because it will get to dirty and I don't want a dark colored horse because I live in Florida.
So if you will pick a color out of the following a a little reason why I will be greatful.
the colors are:
Red Roan
Blue Roan
Red Dun
Buckskin
Sorrel
Thanks so much for your help!!
Answers:You should always pick a horse based on how well its matched to you. If you're young and need a slower safer animal, get the one that has the most of those qualities.
No two horses are trained and schooled the exact same way, and each has their own personality.
Pick the one that feels the safest while you're on it, and responds the best to your cues.
Dont pick based on color :) Its not a safe idea.
Sorrel would be the best choice if you live in flordia!
Honey, a good horse is a good horse, and if you are choosing a horse based upon color, or NOT choosing one based upon color, you could either end up with a problem horse or could end up missing out on a great horse. THink of the old addage..."Don't judge a book by its cover"...
You should pick a horse going by their temperment and dispositon, and how much they are suited to your riding ability, not really on coat color, but I think you know that already,
