What do fjords usually cost average
It totally depends on where you live and how popular Fjords are in your area. The best way to find out is to go to Dreamhorse.com and do a search for Fjords within 100 miles of you. If there are none you'll then have to factor in shipping to the cost of buying one.
Of course, if you buy from a drought area you might be able to find someone deperate who will take a very low offer.
It'll vary depending on where you live. I'm pretty sure a Fjord would be a heck of a lot cheap in Norway and probably also cheaper in nearby countries than they are in the US.
I did a quick search on equine.com and the Fjords on there for sale range between $1,200 (for a foal) up to $12,000 (which was a cross with a WB). Most seemed to be between $4,000 - $7,000.
It totally depends on what you are looking. Age, quality, gender, soundess, and level of training will affect the price of a Fjord or any other horse. The area in which you look to buy the horse will also reflect the price, too. Some places in the world are just more costly than others.
Here are just a very few examples.
This horse is green & young, and in an expensive part of the country.

This one is probably still going to be considered green due to his training, but seems like a nice family prospect:
