What do i need to groom a horse2007-11-24 21:21:26

Hi, I am going on a horse care course on Wednesday and need my own grooming kit.

I know I need a body brush, dandy brush, mane/tail comb, what else would I need?

(I do not own a horse)

Well as I own my horse and groom him everday I probably have more than neccessary but here is what is in my kit

Grooming box

Rubber curry comb

Metal curry comb

Soft body brush

Dandy brush

Face brush

Hoof pick

Hoof oil and brush

Mane comb

Mane and tail conditioner

Baby wipes

Sheath wipes

4 sponges

Stable rubber

Eye wipes

Shampoo

Anyway as I said I have my own horse so you wont need all of this stuff! But gives you an idea of what you may need!!

Do you lot who have answered curry comb and hoof pick really think this is a grooming kit?? God id hate to be your horse!!!

Well, having 18 horses of my own, I have just about everything you could possibly need to groom a horse. ^-^

Ideally you need all the different grooming aids shown here, but you could start with a few and build up gradually. To begin with, a dandy brush, body brush, metal curry comb, hoof pick, and sponges are the most important things.
