What is a TB or ID horse2007-11-24 21:21:33
I have been looking up horses and come across TB mares and TBxID mares etc. What does TB and ID or TB/ID mean?
Answers:Yeah, TB is a Thoroughbred, and ID is an Irish Draught horse. Usually this combination is referred to as an ISH, Irish Sport Horse.
I'm pretty sure by TB they mean thoroughbred, but I could be wrong. I'm not sure what ID means.
TB is Thoroughbred; don't know about ID. TB x ID would be a Thoroughbred crossed with whatever the ID is.
TB does mean Thoroughbred, but as for the ID. . . I'm not sure, possibly registered?
EDIT: I've noticed that TBxID is mostly used in ads for Europe.
TB is Thoroughbred and ID may mean Irish Draft horse
so TB/ID would mean its a cross
TB definately means Thoroughbred and I'm 99% sure that ID is Irish Draught.
TB is Thoroughbred, ID is Irish Draught
TBxID is half TB half ID
a TBxID would be a god sport horse. Great 3 day horse.
TB means thoroughbred and x means cross. ID means Irish Draft. So if you see TBxID it means thoroughbred crossed with an irish draft. Another example is TBxQH (thoroughbred crossed with a quarter horse!) a / is the same thing as x too!
TB is thoroughbred and ID is irish draft i have 2 lol
