When I get mustangs from the BLM they require a corral of at least 20' X 20' (400 square ft) so 20' X 40' would work for two horses. But that is still pretty small. If the two horses get to rough housing, that is not enough room and it increases the possibility of injury. If you are looking to do just a corral and not a pasture, I would at least double that 400 sq ft per horse. So I might try a corral 40' X 40'

I would say at least two acres if they are living there. If you are talking about a sort of corral outside of the stall try something about 10x20...just a small run outside of the stall. That's all I really can say at the moment...the question's a little confusing.

If it's an area they'll be spending a lot of time in and will be grazing in, at the very least it should be about an acre although I wouldn't recommend that size. A larger one (2-4 acres +) is preferable as this will give them room to run around in and the grass will last longer. Pastures often need to be supplemented with hay (mostly during dry seasons) so that when the grass doesn't grow fast enough to keep up with the horses, they'll still have something to feed on; the smaller the pasture, the more you're going to have to spend on hay.

I'd say at least an acre or two pastures each one HALF an acre because during spring months one of the pastures needs to be roped off and have seed spread down so that it can grow-- once it grows you can move the horses to that pasture and let the other side grow. When the summer comes you can let them have the whole acre again...
