What is a lame duck2007-11-24 21:21:31Answers:
A lame duck can refer to a president who has already been replaced...
For example, if President A was at the end of his term and President B won as president next term...
But the election was in November and the switch isn't until January or whatever.
So from Nov-Jan President A would be a 'lame duck' meaning no political power but he's still technically "president"
a duck that cant walk.
an elected official who has lost political power
if your talking about anything to do with horses... a lame duck is when you are jumping and you lean to far forward.. your over exagerate your 2-point postion.
A politician serving out his term who won't return for the next term.

The expression "lame duck":

* Comes from the fact that horses suffering from emphysema, in the age of cavalry, were considered as "good for nothing"
