What is involved in Led classes for ponies in Australia? The pony is a Welsh section 'A'. What type of things are you asked to do in the ring? What sort of clothes are suitable? I have been asked to help out a lady and as I am a severe asthmatic, I need to find out what is involved before I can commit to helping her. Any help appreciated.

there will probably be some dust and blowing dirt so you should take this in to consideration. for the led class the judge will be primarily looking at the horse and how it moves. you will be ask to walk and trot as well as back and possibly turn or pivot. all of these things should be vary easy to do and you can have the person you are helping show you exactly what you are going to do for the class right before the show. you should where a dressy sort of ridding coat and dress pants. Smart, formal clothing is essential. Think navy riding dress-coat and other show attire. You arn't asked to do alot, you just have to lead the pony around the ring, sometimes run a little with it. It is not a strenuous activity. The judges are looking at the stance and walk of the horse, its response to commands, overall behavior and physique. Best of luck :)
