What is the difference in a Paint and Pinto? I've heard that it was that Paint is a breed, and Pinto's a color, but wanted to make sure.

What is the difference between a Strawberry Roan and a Red Roan? I've heard that they were the same thing, but once again, wanted to make sure.

And strawberry roan is practially the same as a red roan, but a horse with more white than red in his coat will probably be called 'strawberry' and one mostly red but with some white will be called 'red.'

all pintos are paints. paint is the breed and pinto is the coloration. a skewbald pinto is brown and white coloration, while piebald is black and white, getting its name from a black magpie. http://www.stallingspainthorses.com/type... some breeds can have pinto coloring, like quarter horses. you were correct. strawberry and red roan are the same thing although strawberry is sometimes referred to the lighter colored red roans.

Well, paint is a Reg Horse and A pinto is a unreg Horse but its also a color. but alote of people the Paints and pintos mixed up.
