I used to work at a riding stable and the max weight limit was 250 pounds. Whenever I'm at a horse show and I see some fat person riding a small horse I feel bad for the horse having to lug around all that weight. I would just judge the build of the horse vs. the weight of the person.

If these horses are otherwise healthy, they should be able to handle any weight that you put on them, within reason. Arabs are stronger than they look. Unless you are talking over 300 pounds, I'd say if the person can mount, they can ride.

hmmmm well in general if you weigh between 100-150lbs its more of a height issue than weight however once you start tipping the scale at 200 its better to get a larger stronger horse, not delicate like an arab, but like a tb mix or a taller qh or appy, its really up to you how much the horse can carry, but its usually never more than 1/4 of the horse's body weight,

idk thouhg really cuz i can ride almost any horse (except the short ones) since i only weight about 115

Arabians are stronger then they look so I would say 200 pounds. They are able to carry grown men for miles easily so just think.Plus, Arabians are in their prime at about 20 years. That is how old mine is. I really hope I helped! Best Wishes!

I would go with the 20% rule. Horses in good shape can usually hold up to 20% of thier own body weight.
