If my hand's not broken then why do I have a buldged line running down my finger?
Answers:It's a crush injury. I had a teasing stud grab my upper arm once and lift me up, lot of blood and broken skin but the doctor said that the main damage due to the horses jaw and shape of teeth is that of a crush injury. Take painkillers and use ice and that's about all you can do. Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen as they can cause more bleeding and just make it worse. I still have ridges in my arm and the tissue is lumpy. It's scarred and you can see the teeth marks even after 7 years. Ice is really the best thing.
one of your veins got busted.
Sounds like what happened to me, but only from a horse that stopmed me! I had a sort of sream like buldge about 5 inched long, only the next day I woke up and my hand looked the size of a football! I didnt think mine was broke even though i could move all my fingers e.t.c. But I spent 8 weeks in a cast. Better get that checked out! And yes, a horse can bruise your finger, brake it, or rip a finger off from biting!
I don't know what happened to your finger, but you may want to call your doctor. Horses actually breed Tetanus in their mouths, so if the bite broke the skin at all you may want to go in to get a Tetanus shot - especially if it has been ten years since your last one. It is also a good idea to address problems like that immediately because a doctor can do more right after the injury rather than a few weeks after.
Hope you feel better!
