What size riding pants would I wear
I used to ride Western and I am starting to ride English. I don't own any riding breeches because I just wore jeans before. I am looking into buying a pair of them and I was wondering what size I should start looking at. Also, I have noticed riding pants for up to $70 a pair. Is that typical? If so, is there any brand or any place in Missouri anyone knows of that offers them for around $20-$40? Thank you so much!
I am 5ft. tall. My inseam is about 26 inches. My waist is about 39 1/2 inches.My thigh is about 24 inches at the biggest part. From my waist to my knee is about 16 inches and from my knee to my anckle is about 16 also.

Look at schooling tights for something cheaper. They are not as nice or as sturdy as breeches but are cheaper and easier to clean than breeches. They are fine for lessons or just riding.
I have several pairs and I like them. I do not show English so I do not own a nice pair of breeches.
You should be able to try them on in the tack store, but over here in australia (im assuming your in america) they are the same size as a pair of your jeans would be.
The price of jodphurs in australia is around $40 for the cheap shitty ones to about $250 for the best quality but usually ones around $80 are the best for everyday riding.
I really don't know your much larger then me my waist is only 22 inchs. You could try ebay theres some really great deals. Good luck to you.
It is typical for that. Pants price range can go from $25- $500. I have the expensive pants because I ride 9 times a week so I don't want them to ware down as fast. Go to DoverSaddlery.com and or a catalog (free). Then when you are in the website or the catalog, it will show what size you need by the measuring of your waste and stuff.

Most stores will help you find a good pair, and most breeches are grouped by waist inches etc... then you just have to find out what one is long enough for your legs. Im 5''6, 100 lbs and i wear an adult small long-- so measurements also come in XS<S<M<L<XL<XXL.
