i personally think any type of quarter horse is great. i think quarter horses are the best. thats my opinion

It depends on what you want the horse for. Arabians are good for endurance riding. Quarter Horses are good for barrel racing and western horse sports. Thouroughbreds and Tennesee Walking Horses are good for dressage and english riding.

For who? Then, for what? Each horse, even within a single breed, is different. (Like people.) For me, I like a shorter horse, I'm 5'2". My husband is 6'2" and prefers a taller horse. He likes trails, I like anything to do with horses. If I ever drive a 4-in-hand, I can die happy. Most breeds are multi talented.

My opinion, Morgan horses!! They are compact, muscular body with a stylish way of moving. Their strength, speed, hardiness, endurance, their ability to out walk, out trot, out pull other horses are legendary! During the Civil war Morgans served as Cavalry mounts & artillery horses. Morgans have set world trotting records. The stamina & spirit of the Morgan combined with it's build, & way of traveling comtributed greatly to the formation of other Amercian breeds. Theses are the Quarter horse( Morgans were used to up gread the Kings Ranch Quarter Horses), the Standardbred, the Tennessee Walking horse & American Saddle horse. I have 151 acre ranch & they do evrything I need done!! I use mine for towing carts, pulling tree truncks to were I need them. To go for miles & miles to check the fenceing. I even teach people how to ride some times. Their hooves are very good. Mine are all barefoot. I have 25 Morgans. They are normally easy keepers. They are smart, they learn quickly. I even have a few 1/2 Morgan horses. They are good 1/2 breeds to own. You should go on line & look up the history about them!!

arabs are very well built for endurance. I have 2 Arabians and they are the best! If you can though, go for an andelusion.

it completely depends on what you intend to do with them. Each breed was bred for a specific duty and works best under specific conditions. In general quarter horses are a good all around horse.
