What is the difference of a horse, pony, and a mule, and what is alike?

Anything under 15 hands is a pony, anything over 15 hands is a horse (unless you start getting into those 14.3 hand QH that are used for cutting, that are actually a ponies heigth, but are in fact, horses). A mule is a mix between a horse and a donkey and they can't reproduce so to make another one, you have to use a donkey and a horse. Mules can be various sizes.
