What is the difference of a horse, pony, and a mule, and what is alike?

Answers:

A pony is anything that is under 14.2hh and a horse is anything over 14.3hh. That is the correct height classification. A mule is a cross between a donkey and a horse/pony. A mule is regarded as a breed where horse and pony are a descriptive term for an equine.

A pony is any one of the small breeds of horses. A mule is the offspring of a donkey and a horse.
well a pony is alot smaller than a horse and a mule.and a mule is a little bit bigger than a horse.Mules and horses kinda look the same but mules have bigger ears.and you can ride them all!i hope i helped!!
Anything under 15 hands is a pony, anything over 15 hands is a horse (unless you start getting into those 14.3 hand QH that are used for cutting, that are actually a ponies heigth, but are in fact, horses). A mule is a mix between a horse and a donkey and they can't reproduce so to make another one, you have to use a donkey and a horse. Mules can be various sizes.

And a mule is a hybrid cross between a Jack donkey and a mare horse.

A horse is over 14.2 hands, and a pony is that or below.
