I don't need a competion thoroughbred, breeding, dressage or jumper. I am just looking for a large (16h+) horse for occassional hikes and for my daughter to practise her riding on. Any ideas where we can start looking? I can't find any horse rescue centres on the internet and most classified adds are for top competitor horses or thoroughbreds.

If there isn't any in there you might be able to get some numbers anyway. EG. this week a 15 hand filly roan was advertised.
