Where can I find a place that sells horses
For the most part, you would purchase horses from an individual (the owner) or occasionally the breeder. If you're looking at buying a young horse, you would probably go through the breeder. These people would not have the equipment or supplies. You would have to order them yourself online through some place like Dover or State Line, or you could purchase them at a local tack store.
Please, before you even consider buying a horse, take riding lessons at a local stable. See if you can volunteer at a barn and learn about proper care, diet, and exercise of horses. Horses are expensive, time-consuming, and huge drains on your personal finances. I've seen too many novices buy horses they weren't in a position to care for. Take your time, learn about the industry and the animal before you consider buying one. The horse is an animal that can live into its thirties and demands a lot of attention and money. Don't jeopardize the health of the animal simply because you like them. Make sure you're in a financial position to afford one and do your homework first. Make sure you know enough about horses to care for one properly.

If you don't have experiance with horses don't get anything but a well broke, middle age horse. You need to take lessons, and lease a horse before you buy one no matter what kind of horse you get. A foal needs a lot of special handeling and training, remember you are dealing with what will become a thousand pound animal, if it is not raised correctly it will be very dangrous when it gets older. Also keep in mind, it will be 3 years atleast until you will be able to ride the foal, and getting it broke out will cost you a lot of money in training fees (you will not be able to do it your self unless you are VERY experianced with horses). Please do not attempt to raise a foal your self if you dont have experiance, there are too many badly trained mistakes out their all ready. If you want something cute to be a companion animal, get a puppy, not a foal.
With that being said- dreamhorse.com, agdirect.com, equine.com, horsetopia.com are all good sites. For the other stuff, statelinetack.com, tacktrader.com are good sites. Also look into your local feed store, and tractor supply company.
