First, if he already has a horse, why not just desensitize that horse? Horses are easily spooked naturally, but you can also desensitize them to just about anything. It just takes time and patience. If he doesn't already have a horse, I don't know if you're going to find one that's specifically gun proof. Besides the fact that no horse is 100% anything proof. lol. There's always that chance that they will spook at something they've heard a million times. The chances get lower though after hours and hours of desensitizing. Anyway, if he doesn't already have a horse, I would suggest finding a good all around horse and desensitizing it. I'm sure he would be more comfortable knowing that he's the one that's done the job rather than trust that someone else has, only to find out when he fires the first shot that hmm that horse isn't gun proof after all!
