Where can i find someone who has artificial insemination for my cow2007-11-24 21:22:50

no bulls for my cow around close. I think artificial insemination would be better, but can't find out who I talk to and who does it?

Your veterinarian should be able to find you someone who works in that field. Failing that - check local agricultural or veterinary schools, or hang out at livestock auctions and county fairs and ask around.

I think you are in the wrong section.

BUT, you should talk to your vet and look at cow magazines. For cow studs or whatever you call them. Duh (as in me, duh). I mean bulls lol.

There are several websites out there specific to the different breeds. What are you breeding for? Show steer? Meat? Just do a google search. Then you'll want to talk with your vet about inseminating the cow. This is not something you do yourself. Your vet may know of some local bulls too. That would save you a lot of money. Good luck.

Everyone here has a good idea: magazines, auctions, vet, etc. And there are usually websites showing "studs", lol.
