Where can i get a cheap-ish oster mane and tail comb/brush
Heya
I am looking for a oster mane and tail grooming piece, i don't mind if its a comb or brush. I would prefer it if i bought online

Answers:Oster is reeaallly expensive. You can just go to your local tack stor and get something that is the same but much cheaper.
If you buy a used brush soak it in 1 part bleach to 3 parts water for 30 minutes and then leave it in direct sunlight to dry. It will kill any skin fungus and bacteria.
Although you shouldn't brush your horse's tail with a brush that has the plastic bristles with the balls on top. Just use a dandy/hard brush . It is better for the tail. A human or "tail" brush will break the hairs and it takes YEARS to grow another long tail hair.

Robinsons, nr wigan have a online shop, they should have one on there. We use Oster on all our competition horses, and im sure we got them from Robinsons!!
Oster brushes aren't cheap at all, although they are kind of cool looking i suggest you just go with a regular toothed brush that you can buy at any Rite Aid for human hair. (just use lots of care and conditioner when doing the tail or else you will break the hairs and they don't grow back so easily) Or go to statelinetack.com and order one that sells for like 1$ i have a red one and it's held up for years!
