If you plan to show, and are riding Western, stick with a neutral color of boot. Black boots will go with most show outfits, but pink ones won't!
I agree with other posters that Ariat makes very good, VERY comfortable boots. I like their paddock boots a bit better than their Western boots for comfort. But all are very high quality.

Also try a local tack store. Go to Yahoo Search and search Tack Stores in your town or state. Well good luck! (I recommend Dover Saddlery)
