I like Western better because it is softer on your butt, but it is also really safe because of the horn on it, and if something happens to your reins, you can grab onto the horn. So I recommend Western style better.
scotch on the rocks ...thank you....
WESTERN!
Western rocks all saddles and tack! Barrel Racer<33
I find that western saddles are more comfortable but I like to ride english more than I do western
WESTERN! or bareback
BAREBACK!!
and western!!
western by far...
English saddles are so much more comfortable IMHO. I don't mind Western saddles on trail, but they just can't compare for me.
Please note that I learned to ride on an English saddle.
Western every time, I was raised riding English style, and only started Western a couple of years ago. Going back to English was so hard, it's Western all the way now.
I prefer English. I don't find Western comfortable, and so many people make the mistake on relying on the horn to stay on.
im in the uk so i only use the general purpose saddle,i find the leather ones are a bit hard ,so for just hacking out i use a wintec synthetic saddle ,easy to clean and if you get it wet no cleaning unlike leather
I have used both and in my opinion it's english Dressage (I'm a classical dressage rider) Western is nice but i'm English and bought up in the traditional way! As for GP's i don't like them as they have too many jobs to do so i have 2 saddles, one Dressage (Deep suede seat with straight cut flaps and support perfect for security when riding with long stirrups (or no stirrups)) and a Jumping Saddle (forward cut with huge knee rolls) for extra comfort when hacking i have a sheepskin saddle seat saver for a very comfy bottom!
i much prefer the English saddle. If you shop carefully, there are some really comfortable, soft seated English saddles. I find western saddles to be harder and more uncomfortable. Of course, I grew up learning to ride English, but I have ridden both. I like the shorter stirrup length of the English compared to the Western as well, makes me feel more secure.
if i could afford it, it would be a weston but as the ones ive seen are near 拢400 i'll have to stick with my sinthetic saddle but i get a numb bum after a while!!
