Who has used "Pony Pops"2007-11-24 21:22:57

So I have seen these advertised on TV...looks like the horses love them...Checked out the website...somewhat expensive for the spinning holder if you ask me...Who out there has tried them, and what has your experience with them been?? Worth it or not??

Answers:

I use them! My horses LOVE THEM! I didn't buy the spinning holder - it really is very expensive for it, but my husband is very constructive, and can make one of our own much cheaper. It will make the treats last longer. Pony Pops are awesome, and you might want to try Uncle Jimmy's Hanging Balls..

They are great too!

While the pony pops are 2 pounds, the balls are 4 pounds. They last about twice as long, and longer if you hang it above eye level as suggested.

I have various sized horses and they all need to reach it, so I have to hang them on the fence, but I put them between the rails so the horses and ponies can't pin them against the post and chew on them. I get about 3 days out of the Pops with 2 horses on one, and 3 one the other, and about 7 days out of the Balls.

I think those treats are well worth it.

I bought 2 at a mule show and asked the guy point blank which ones horses/mules preferred the most. He said sea salt.

So I bought these 2 and hung one in each stall. The 2 hooligans (young donkey and pony mule) went crazy over them and my mule didn't care for it.
